New Years Eve!

New Years Eve this year was so fun! Not only did a great family friend of ours win tickets to the Stars game & let me have them, BUT we were also able to play around like little kids with a ton of fireworks that we bought. Scott, Haley, & I had an awesome time at the game, and a bonus, we won! 4-2! & when I got home from the game Tim & his friend Zach waited with us until midnight to shoot of a dozen of tiny fireworks! It was a really fun night, a great start to the new year 2012!

Sean & Drew wanted to take Christmas pictures of themselves to give their parents for Christmas. I was going to come a long & do a photo-shoot of my own while we were in West End, but unfortunately I had a wardrobe crisis right before we left! So we ended up just taking normal picture of the three of us, and thankfully, they are turned out really good! The day turned out to be super fun, we were all pleased with the results, and both if their parents were more than happy with their gifts!

Every year we do several shoots that go against who I really am - just for fun - for instance, we have done punk, biker chic, rocker, poison ivy etc.

The last two shoots have been very girlie - a downtown fashion shoot and a shoot with a few friends dressed up in party dresses - not clothes i would ever feel comfortable wearing in real life, but i like how the pics came out!

so we have been having snow days around here, and today the snow has backed off enough that we can head back to school - but just to be safe, there is a two hour delay. which is stupid - we should just stay home for the entire month to be safe, if you ask me!

It only comes around every gazillion years or so, so we thought we would stay up and watch it.

After a full day of six flags, and staying up the night before (because we thought it was happening a day earlier than it actually did!) we were pretty tired.

We were kind of disappointed.

It really was pretty and sorta cool - but at 2:30 a.m, out in the freezing cold temperatures, we would rather have been asleep in our warm beds!

Okay. So on my actual birthday I went to take the test. This is pretty much how it went.

Day 1.

1- Filling out paperwork with the awful lady at the desk.

2- She said I have to take a driving test. WHHHAAATT?!?!?! Since when?! I am not prepared! Law changed about a month before my birthday. Who knew?

3- Mean lady gets in the car & tells me what to do. (Who does she think she is?)

4- I SUCK AT PARALLEL PARKING.

5- She yells.

6- She yells again.

7- I cry a little bit. But then try to man it up

8- She fusses at me for crying and being emotional behind the wheel. What does she know?

9- She says I fail. I decide she is NOT my friend.

10- Mom drives home because I am not a licensed driver.

Day 2! I am now fully prepared to take this stupid driving test. Just hopefully I won't get the same lady.......

1- OH NO! It's the same woman. I'm doomed.

2- I made her laugh. This is a good sign.

3- I parallel park, PERFECTLY. Too bad I don't live in Dallas.

4- Things go well. She compliments me. YES!

5- She says "You have passed." (in a flat voice as if it isn't a big deal).

6- I dance my way into the DMV for my license.

FHS Homecoming Weekend

Forney High School homecoming is HUGE deal. Not only do we have a game, but we have a dance, and a parade! Every class gets to nominate a Duke 7 Duchess for their class. And guess who won duchess?! OH YES! THAT WOULD BE ME! So not only did I have to attend the dance & the game wearing a dress, but I had to ride in a car at the parade! AWESOME!

Justin gave me a mum. Aw! It was so pretty!

For the homecoming game, I had to have an escort. And who was the lucky guy? Tommy Wright. Now dad was excited to be my escort and he looked very handsome. Thanks dad!

Oh the parade. I was so excited to ride on the back of my beautiful Lexus IS250 Convertible. (Thank-you Gordon Voss!) BUT, about 20 minutes before the I arrived at the parade, it started to rain. Not just drizzling, but a good solid rain. So instead of sitting on the convertible and waving like the duchess I was, I sat inside with my window rolled down waving. And I got the entire right side of my body soaked. Isn't that just my luck.

Now for the dance. I was not looking forward to the dance at all & I planned to bail as soon as possible. Once me & Justin got there, we had a lot of fun! There were a ton of people there and the music was great! Good job Mr.Pouncy!

Stephi and Matt came for her bachlorette party here in Dallas. While she was away with her girlfriends, Matt hung with us. Now Matt. What a guy. Matt & I are like 2 peas in a pod. I love him like a fatty loves cake. But only pop-rock cake.

While Stephanie was getting ready, me and Matt had a couch party and watched "She's the Man". (Because he has the hots for Amanda Bynes. Don't tell Steph. She'd be jealous).

OH MY GOSH!

I have never been under tornado watch before, and let me just tell you, it was the coolest & scariest thing ever! There were twisters all around us but not one hit Forney, thank-goodness! dad was driving home from work and me, mom, and Tim were all really worried. The three of us, and our 3 animals, all got in the downstairs bathroom (our safe place) with blankets while we listened to the news. Me & mom were fairly calm, but poor Tim was holding all the animals and couldn't stop crying. He kept saying things like "We're going to die!" "Where is dad at?! Is he ok?". But most of all he was worried about our kitten, Sprout who kept trying to run out of the bathroom. When dad got home he was totally calm and said that they were no longer near us anymore and we were safe. YAY!

Yes I know what you're thinking. "How many times is she going to redo her room?" Well when you're in it every single day, you start to get bored. Since my birthday was coming up, I knew exactly what I was going to ask dad for. He said yes, but gave me a limit.

(Little did he know that we would exceed his limit by hundreds). It was a 3 week process with the shopping for furniture at IKEA, picking paint, building an entire wall, putting the furniture together, and then finally setting everything up. The 2nd week of doing this, I ended up with mono. Even though I felt AWFUL, I was out of school and I had shopping to do. The shopping was a ton of fun. Actually buying it was the hard part.

Seeing all that money go was pretty tough. Especially for dad.

Part 2 was building the wall. In one of our hotels at Disney, they had this cut out above the bed about 4 inches out from the wall. It was so convenient to set my phone, and other things on. So when dad said he thought he could build one, I had to have it! Dad called over Scott to help with all the manly work...

Priming my turquoise walls for my soft yellow paint took 3 days.

Then actually painting took about 2. YUCK!

"The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants". We fell in love with the movie & decided to make a sisterhood of our own. We have all been really close since then, txting & writing letters, but the four of us haven't been together since! Last weekend was our Gran's birthday & I knew that we were all going to be together for the first time in 3 years! I decided we needed to do a photoshoot. Florida with Haley!

So this Summer we decided to go to Florida. Surprise, surprise. But this time, I got to bring Haley. We were both totally psyched to get there & swim & ride roller coasters! The first place we stayed in was The Bay Lake Towers Resort. It was SO NICE! And me & Haley got our own room! The first couple days there was spent going to the parks and riding everyone's favorite ride.

We were scared!

Then we left Bay Lake Towers & moved to The Vero Beach resort! Which just so happens to be my absolute favorite! It was great. We got our own room again & it was perfect weather to be on the beach all day!

Since we were on the beach mom felt that she HAD to take nice pictures of us. Me & Haley and then some of me & Tim. Some of them turned out really great! Thanks mom!

So mom had to pick me up from church camp in Oklahoma. I had been gone for an entire week & I missed Justin like crazy! I was so ready to get home & see him. When we stopped just outside of camp to get a drink, I stayed in the car to wait for her. Someone tapped on my window & guess who it was?! JUSTIN! Ahh! I was SO surprised & excited. It made me so so happy. He drove all the way up with mom, just to surprise me!

For our final in Spanish this year we had to make a video project. We had to speak spanish the whole video. We had probably about 4 weeks to come up with our idea. When the last week came around, we came up with "Avatar". Josh would be an Avatar, speaking only "Avatarian" & I would have to be his translator. Jonah & Shelby were going to be talk show hosts & they were going to interview an Avatar. The video worked out pretty great. We had a ton of fun paiting Josh blue & figuring out just how to speak Avatar. The class loved it & we got a 100! Yay!

on saturday march 6th, justin turned 17. since i'm the best girlfriend ever i got him a giant present. couple shirts, some yummy candies, gift card, an amazing card, & i made him a cake. plus, i gave him Zoey. she is our love child.

here's some random funny pics from my phone. i'll explain.

okay don't laugh. ya know when you have hardcore snot in your nose & then sometimes your snot will think it's funny to only chill in one nostril? well yeah. that's what was going down.

& i happened to be eating a sucker at this time. plus jenni was making me laugh.

so i had to plug up my snotty nostril so i wouldn't snot all over the car & so i wouldn't lose my yummy sucker. i think that its a pretty legit explanation.

um. in this picture me & justin are holding hands in the walmart parking lot. that's pretty normal. i don't see the funny in this?

i was supposed to be getting ready & i was sitting on my bed trying to decide what to wear. at this moment in time i was also very sleepy nite nite. come on. you know you've fallen asleep at least once instead of doing what you really needed to.

jenni made me try on swim suit bottoms. it was too cold to take off my shorts.

plus, look i hot i look with them on. BONUS.

like father like daughter. people tell me we look alike. i don't see it at all.

you're finally in the double-digits. whoah you're so cool. for tim's birthday he wanted a drum set. we spent his birthday evening at guitar center & his favorite restaurant, Olive Garden.

the night was pretty sweet. we jammed out & we ended up on a date. (:

on the day that me & haley decided to be rebels & skip school, the only thing that convinced mom to let us stay home was if we agreed to take some really cool snow shots. (my idea. i know. i'm a genius. thank-you. thank-you.) some of them ended up really pretty. haley is absolutely gorgeous. these are my favorite pictures of her. i love you!

it snowed! in texas! and we still had school. can you believe it? well. since i'm a rebel, i stayed home with my best friend haley & we partied it up. then we went to scott's to play.

after "school" my amazing boyfriend justin came over & we played in the snow some more.

at church we had a dance. the theme was 80's. heck yes! i love my life! haley of course, didn't have ANY 80's clothes. she's not as tubular as i am. i mean, her wardrobe is.... gag me with a spoon! we went to the thrift store to get her some clothes. we found a totally bitchin' skirt for me, bonus! & then we found her this jacket. isn't it rad?

Puddin' Rice

so in my personal family development class we get to have babies. calm down. not for real, but the really annoying plastic ones that scream bloody murder every time you barely touch them. luckily, this year they decided that the kids were too rough on the babies in the past & we weren't allowed to take them home. (thank you to all the teen-parents who hit their kids' heads against the wall to make them shut-up). we had to pick a husband/wife, so i of course picked jeff rice, who personally, i think would make a great baby daddy.

Puddin' Deluga Rice was born on January 7th, 2010. she is a beautiful little girl.

she's a good mix of both her father & I. she has the cutest little laugh. & when she smiles

she has dimples just like her daddy.

So jenni took some super sexy pictures of me a while ago in Dealy Plaza. We got some really good pictures in my amazing dress.! We were in the middle of taking a picture when a whole group of these ghetto children came up & decided to be in the pictures. If we told them no they could've shot us or something. So instead of trying to protect me from the guy that was putting his arms around me, jenni just kept on taking pictures like everything was okay. I could've gotten raped or something.! Thank goodness I'm alive.!

So the other morning before school josh and trey decided to have an egg cook-off. trey put some vegetable oil IN THE PAN cooking the eggs (eew. gross.) & some other unmentionables. so josh knew his were going to be better. we all tasted some and decided that josh was the winner. they were super yummy. good job joshua.!

Steph and Matt - Engaged!!

My cousin Stephanie and Matt are FINALLY engaged!

He proposed on Christmas Eve in Destin at our Family Reunion.

It was sweet that he did it in front of the whole family!

She cried & cried, & cried, & cried...

Stephanie is my only cousin on my mom's side of the family. I love her SO MUCH!!

I tried real hard not to like Matt (how could he be good enough for her?) but I can't help myself - I love him too!

Now, all of you that know me understand that I am not one to cry a lot, right?

Well, Steph and Matt had me crying like a baby! It kinda pissed me off, but everyone was crying enough that I wasn't the only loser!

So. I don't have very many "girlfriends", but the few that I do have, are AMAZING(:

Me, Haley, Leighana, Carlie, & Lindsey all got together the other night and did some pretty crazy things. We went to Napoli's (yummy italian) & then went back to the house for dress up & dance parties. We all looked ravishing in our very well put together outfits. We decided we couldn't just let that go to waste, so we made multiple dance videos to the song YA! by the oh so sexy, Usher. We had SO MUCH FUN!

I can't seem to post the videos, i'll keep trying. My mom did manage to post a short dance video from another night on her blog - go to my sidebar, click on As for Me and My House and look under maggie's new car to watch.

The great hair debate!

I love my BFF Haley, but...

We are in the middle of a great debate with her over her hair.

She has naturally curly hair and feels the need to tame it by either straightening it or pulling it back into a bun everyday.

This drives me crazy!! I LOVES Haley's wild hair and would trade my straight hair for curls any day!

As a friend favor - Haley wore her hair curly for the posted BFF pic. (see previous post)

We tried to get her to wear it curly for just this week and see the response from her peers, but she refuses.

So - we are starting a bit of an internet poll.

Here are two recent pics of Haley - straight hair and curly hair.
